Umbrella Insurance

Umbrella policies are inexpensive because they kick in only after you’ve exhausted your liability coverage under your auto or homeowners policy. Most importantly, after your auto or home policies are exhausted, the injured party can come after your assets: house, 401(k)s, bank accounts, and anything you own.

You don’t need to have millions in assets, only assets you don’t want to part with if you’re involved in a nasty accident or lawsuit. If your house burns down, you know how much insurance to carry. With a law-suit, you have no idea how much a court can award.

If you own a house and a couple of cars, we generally can get you an umbrella for around $200. And if you have rental properties and/or youthful drivers, the cost may be slightly higher - but well worth it. Again, protect the family you love and the assets you own!

"Last December, my wife Melinda found herself in the unusual situation of having two auto accidents with each of our cars on the very same day leaving us without any vehicle.  I called my agent for help!  If things could be worse, I was out of town and my wife was just getting ready to start a new job.  Associated Agents was terrific.  They coordinated a Traveler’s adjuster to tow the vehicle at just the perfect time for my wife’s new schedule, arranged a rental car for her (at no cost and at a location that was convenient for her), and made this terrible situation workable for us—all while I was out of town.

We have done business with this agency for 15 years, my parents did business with them before that and our kids have their insurance here.  There’s a good reason why…they are there when I call and most importantly, they are there when you need them most."
